6. Food Support Policy
The Manna Project provides grocery support to individuals and households experiencing financial hardship.
Food is sourced from reputable supermarkets, suppliers, donors and/or other approved sources. The type and quantity of food available may vary depending on donations and available resources.
We take reasonable steps to handle, store and distribute food safely.
Recipients should check food packaging, ingredients, allergen information, use-by dates and storage instructions before consuming food provided.
If you have a food allergy, intolerance or dietary requirement, please tell us when completing your application. We will take this into consideration where reasonably possible, but we cannot guarantee that all dietary requirements can always be accommodated.
If food appears damaged, spoiled or otherwise unsuitable for consumption, please do not consume it and contact The Manna Project.
7. Availability and Eligibility
The Manna Project operates using limited and/or donated resources.
Submitting an application does not guarantee that food support will be provided.
Applications are assessed using the information provided by the applicant, including household circumstances, income, essential household costs and current financial circumstances.
The Manna Project uses internal assessment criteria to help determine eligibility and prioritise available support. Assessment is not based solely on income.
The amount and type of support available may vary from month to month. If support cannot be provided during a particular month, applicants may be invited to apply again in the future, subject to availability and eligibility.
8. Applicant Declaration
By submitting an application, you confirm that the information you have provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You understand that:
-
The Manna Project has limited resources.
-
Submitting an application does not guarantee that support will be available.
-
Food availability and selection may vary.
-
Dietary requirements cannot always be guaranteed.
-
Your information will be used to assess and administer your application in accordance with this policy.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, legal requirements or how we handle personal information.
